Today, at the Fakulteti i Edukimit / Faculty of Education- UP, the first meeting of the Policy Development Working Group was held as part of the #ValuED Project – Advancing Value-Based Education in Kosovo.
The meeting brought together representatives from the Ministria e Arsimit, Shkencës, Teknologjisë dhe Inovacionit, faculties of education, NGOs, school directors, and international partners.
Together, we discussed the core teacher competences and democratic values we aim to embed in the education system – promoting #studentagency, #democracy, #tolerance, #activecitizenship, #inclusion, and #respect for human rights in every classroom and school across Kosovo.
The discussions also emphasized the importance of adopting a #whole-school, systemic approach that actively involves parents, students, and the wider community to ensure that value-based education is lived and practiced beyond the #curriculum.
This process marks a key step toward developing an education policy that reflects #European values and prepares teachers to be agents of change in their communities.
